Improving healthcare with light and sound
James completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering as a 2+2 programme at the Wuhan University of Technology and the University of Birmingham in 2020. He was subsequently awarded an MRes in Medical Device Design and Entrepreneurship from Imperial College London in 2021, providing him with expertise in medical device development and translational research. For his PhD, he is working towards the next-generation of 3D ultrasound needle tracking technology, including developing PVdF-based customised transducer arrays and bespoke tracking algorithms.
