Improving healthcare with light and sound

Solène is a Research Associate working on the development of miniaturised imaging methods for transtympanic injection surgery. She completed her PhD at University College London, after studying at IMT Atlantique (France) and earning an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. Her research focuses on developing sensing and imaging solutions to support the integration of soft robotic devices in minimally invasive surgery, enhancing their intraoperative use and advancing toward automation. She has a particular interest in surgical imaging, tumour localisation, and phantom fabrication, from the design of novel imaging techniques to their seamless integration within the surgical workflow.
