PURL Students Win First Prize and Highly Commended Award at BioMedEng26
Congratulations to Charissa Cheong and Samia Zaman, MEng Biomedical Engineering students and summer research interns at the Photons+ Ultrasound Research Laboratory (PURL), for their achievements at BioMedEng26 in Liverpool.
Their award-winning work grew directly from their undergraduate final-year MEng group project, which they continued to develop at PURL over the summer. The projects were led by Feng He under the supervision of Wenfeng Xia.
Charissa won First Prize in the BioMedEng26 Poster Competition, while Samia’s poster was Highly Commended.
We also congratulate Yu Pang Liu, a former BMEIS student who joined PURL through the King’s Undergraduate Research Fellowship (KURF), for delivering an excellent oral presentation at the conference. Yu Pang is now pursuing his MSc at Imperial College London while continuing his research with PURL.
Congratulations to Charissa, Samia and Yu Pang!
